Week 9, ECC

It's so good to be back in school! I missed our routine and the busyness of our days. We took two weeks off of school so that I could finish my last two weeks of my college classes. I managed to get an A in both classes! My next class starts Monday and I'm only taking one class, so I think it will go much more smoothly.

As for our homeschool, we traveled to South America this week. It's fun to learn about the South American countries such as Brazil, Ecuador, and Columbia. The geography game is amazing because the girls already know where the countries are located. I guess they picked it up quickly when they labeled their map of South America. It was fun for them to see that Ecuador is on the Equator, and they loved singing "Bolivia" to the tune of the TV show "Olivia". That was particularly funny to me. Although now it's getting a little old...

After our two weeks off, I learned that math drills are very important for second graders! We did not do them and Audrey had a tough time with math this week. I think she's getting back on track, though. Here is a picture of our math game that Audrey loved:

Here is Audrey doing a worksheet about Chinchillas:

Audrey was reading the book "Henry and Mudge." She read the whole thing in one sitting. She is doing so much better with reading!

Abby was in a bit of trouble on the day that I took these pictures. That's why she is not in any of these. Hopefully next week she will be included in the fun.

  1. I just learned that the South American country of Venezuela is not near Chile after working on a scenario for work...

Audrey looks like she's having a lot of fun in the pics!
